The Faribault Foundation announced its grants for 2019 and has awarded Ruth’s House with a grant for $500 to help with transportation costs. Many of the women living at the shelter do not have cars and need transportation to work, medical appointments, and classes as well as to school-related activities for their children. The grant will also make it easier for the families to volunteer and participate in community events as they work on new beginnings with a goal of moving from the transitional shelter to living independently in the community.
