Job posting: Operations and Communications Manager at Ruth’s House

Ruth’s House, a non-profit organization which provides emergency shelter for women and children and supportive housing, has an available position for a full-time Operations and Communications Manager.  The Operations and Communications Manager will be responsible for the oversight, management, communications, and implementation of all weekly agency’s operational functions to include administrations, communications, volunteers and development strategies.

The Operations Manager and Communications Manager will demonstrate a high level of integrity, is one which requires creative thinking, proactive choice making, detailed accuracy and the ability to work well with all types of people. This person is a team player and one who anticipates needs according to the mission to which Ruth’s House is dedicated. This person will assist the Executive Director and will be able to communicate and put into action those ideas with a plan which will support the goals of Ruth’s House. This person will be able to conduct herself/himself with a calm and professional demeanor and an ability to listen to the needs of others.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years secondary, degree or related experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to multitask, work collaboratively, make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Business or bookkeeping knowledge, experience utilizing Microsoft office, web-based programs, and good written communication skills.

  • Ability to pass background checks and must have a valid driver’s license.
