Minnesota House File 1791 would appropriate $50,000 for Ruth’s House in 2020 “to enhance current services and support provided by the transitional housing and support program and to determine if the program’s model can be expanded statewide.” Representative Brian Daniels of Faribault is the chief author of the bill. The Minnesota Department of Human Services, which helped write the bill, would review data submitted by Ruth’s House and based upon the outcomes determine whether a similar program model should be instituted statewide.
