A holiday message from Ruth’s House

The holiday season is a time of year when our thoughts turn to those who are in need.  We think of our life’s blessings and wish others could be as blessed at this special time of year.  Unfortunately, there are many people in our community who are struggling right now and they desperately need to know that there is a community around them who supports them.  It is heartwarming to know that so many people in our community take this need to heart and do whatever they can to help.  The women and children who reside at Ruth’s House are receiving services and a safe home because of the gifts we receive from our community of supporters.  We wish to take this time to thank everyone from the individuals who donate their time and talent to those who provide financial support and gifts of needed items to Ruth’s House.

We would like to give a special thank you to Balchem for providing Thanksgiving dinner and River Valley Church for providing Christmas dinner for our residents this year.  Sharing a special holiday meal means much more than food.  Having this meal together creates a sense of togetherness during the holiday in the midst of a time of crisis and reminds us all that there is a loving community around us and that there is good in the world.
