Dear Community Partners, Donors, and Supporters,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am writing to share an important leadership transition at Ruth’s House. Suzzanne Fox has submitted her resignation as Executive Director, effective November 2, 2026.

For the past 10 years, Suzzanne has demonstrated a deep commitment to Ruth’s House, its mission, and the women and children we serve. We are sincerely grateful for her years of leadership, service, and dedication to the organization and our community. During the coming weeks, the Board and Suzzanne will work together to support an orderly and thoughtful transition.

As we prepare for this change, we want to assure you that the Board is fully engaged and committed to guiding Ruth’s House through the transition with care, stability, and transparency. Our programs, services, and daily operations will continue, and the women and children who rely on Ruth’s House will remain at the center of our work and decision-making.

The Board is taking the following steps:

  • Establishing an interim leadership plan to maintain organizational stability and continuity of programs and services
  • Working closely with Suzzanne to transfer responsibilities, organizational knowledge, essential information, and key community relationships
  • Conducting a thoughtful and timely search for a qualified Executive Director who shares our commitment to the mission and is prepared to lead Ruth’s House into its next chapter
  • Keeping our community partners, funders, donors, and supporters informed as the transition and search process progress

While leadership transitions naturally bring change, the mission of Ruth’s House remains steadfast. The Board is committed not only to maintaining our essential services but also to continuing the strategies, priorities, and goals established for the organization’s future. We will remain focused on strengthening Ruth’s House and ensuring that it continues to respond effectively and compassionately to the needs of the women and children we serve.

Once the Executive Director position is publicly posted, we invite you to help us identify a strong and diverse pool of qualified candidates by sharing the opportunity with individuals and professional networks who may be interested or know someone well suited for the role. Your understanding of Ruth’s House, our mission, and the broader community can help us extend the reach of our search and connect with an exceptional leader for the organization’s next chapter.

We are grateful for the trust, generosity, and partnership of our community. Your continued support makes the work of Ruth’s House possible, and we deeply value your partnership as we move through this transition.

Questions regarding the transition may be directed to me at bonniew@ruthshousemn.org.

With gratitude,

Bonnie Wickstrom
